Description: Fluorescent beads (10.5 ± 0.26 micron) suspended in an isotonic buffered solution (pH 7.4) with 0.02% Tween-20 are detected by the FITC (FL1), PE (FL2), and PE-Cy5 (FL3) channels of a flow cytometer when excited by a 488nm laser and by the V450 (448/45) and V500 (528/45) channels when excited by a 405nm laser.
Application: The AimCount Beads are designed to be used as a reference for counting the absolute cell number by flow cytometry.
Notes: Vortex briefly to re-suspend the AimCount Beads well prior to use. Consistent and precise pipetting is critical in obtaining accurate counts. For each 500 to 1000 µL of stained samples, an addition of 50 or 100 µL AimCount bead suspension is recommended.
Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. This product contains <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.
