Aurora A (D-2) AC

Aurora A Antibody (D-2) is an IgG₁ κ mouse monoclonal Aurora A antibody (also designated Aurora A antibody) that detects the Aurora A protein of Xenopus origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA. Aurora A Antibody (D-2) is available as both the non-conjugated anti-Aurora A antibody form, as well as multiple conjugated forms of anti-Aurora A antibody, including agarose, HRP, PE, FITC and multiple Alexa Fluor^® conjugates. Activation of the oncogenic protein kinase Aurora A regulates meiotic and mitotic cell cycles in eukaryotic cells. Specifically, Aurora A plays a key role in G2/M progression. Activation occurs via autophosphorylation, and while 14 sites are subject to this, only the threonine residue at position 295 is required for activity. Though autophosphorylation mediates activation, a number of other proteins influence activation, including the spindle assembly factor TPX2 and p53.
