Reactive Species
Rat
Host Species
Goat
Immunogen
Purified Rat IgG, Fc (Gamma) Fragment (>98%)
Product Concentration
1.5 mg/ml
Formulation
This secondary antibody is lyophilized from 0.01M phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.6 containing 0.25M NaCl, 15 mg/ml IgG free BSA and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative.
Product Preparation
This F(ab')2 secondary antibody was generated by optimal pepsin degestion of the antisera followed by antigen affinity chromatography to elimiate the presence of Fc fragment and whole molecules.
Storage and Handling
This lyophilized secondary antibody conjugate should be stored desiccated at 2-8°C. The reconstituted Cy2 conjugate containing glycerol should be stored at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer.
Expiration Date
One year from date of reconstitution
Country of Origin
USA
Shipping
Next Day Ambient
Working Concentration
It is recommended that working dilutions be prepared fresh daily.

A working dilution of 1:50 - 1:200 is suitable for most applications.

Secondary antibody concentrations reconstituted with glycerol will be diluted by 50%. Therefore, the working dilution may be one half of what is recommended.
RRID
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change.

Description

Specificity
Goat F(ab')2 Anti-Rat IgG, Fc (Gamma) Fragment recognizes Rat IgG, Fc (Gamma) Fragment. This secondary antibody was purified using antigen affinity chromatography and has been adsorbed against serum proteins and immunoglobulins to minimize species cross-reactivity.
