96 Tests PN: A211122

32 Tests PN: A211122T

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P7 - Mouse IL-12p70 Ab-bead).

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Mouse IL-12p70 Biotin-dAb).

Lyophilized Standard Mix - Mouse Group 1 Panel B, 9-Plex.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human Mouse IL-12p70. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Mouse Group 1. To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (96 Tests PN: P200201, 32 Tests PN: P200201T) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only.  Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Assay Specifications:

Description:

Interleukin 12 has two subunits, IL-12p35 (Accession P43431) and IL-12p40 (Accession P43432). Represented in its full name, IL-12p70 has a total molecular weight of 70kDa. IL-12 is a T cell stimulating factor and aids in naïve T cell differentiation into Th1 cells. It also mediates NK cells and CD8+ T cells. IL-12, by increasing production of IFN-γ which in turn increases production of IP-10 exerts anti-angiogenic properties. IL-23 is closely related to IL-12 in structure as it shares the p40 subunit. IL-12 is linked to autoimmune diseases such as psoriasis and inflammatory bowel disease though it may inhibit food allergy susceptibility. It also plays an integral role in the immunity against M. tuberculosis.
