Nylon Membranes – UltraCruz®
- Nylon transfer membrane is an untreated, supported nylon membrane that is optimal for nucleic acid binding applications.
- Nylon transfer membrane has a higher binding capacity than nitrocellulose membranes. Nucleic acid binding is 350 µg/cm2.
- Nylon transfer membrane is naturally hydrophilic, eliminating the need for wetting agents. Membrane wets out evenly and quickly.
- Membrane has a pore size of 0.45 µm.
- Nylon transfer membrane is often used for single probe transfers.
- Applications: Northern Blot, Southern Blot, Multiple re-hybridizations, Colony/Plaque lifts, Dot/Slot blots, Radiolabelled detection systems, Chemiluminescent, Biotinylated detection systems

UltraCruz® Nylon Membrane is an untreated, supported nylon membrane that is optimal for nucleic acid binding applications such as Northern Blot, Southern Blot, Multiple re-hybridizations, Colony/Plaque lifts, Dot/Slot blots, Radiolabelled detection systems, Chemiluminescent and Biotinylated detection systems. Naturally hydrophilic, Nylon Transfer Membranes have a higher binding capacity than nitrocellulose membranes and eliminates the need for wetting agents. It's versatility, durability and easy-to-use qualities make it ideal for UV-crosslinking, heating, and can withstand rigorous handling and harsh solvents, and will not crack, tear or shrink.
