96 Tests PN: A111128

32 Tests PN: A111128T

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P5 - human IL-1β Ab-bead).

25x Biotin-detection Ab (human IL-1β Biotin-dAb).

Lyophilized Standard Mix-Human Group 1 Panel B.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human IL-1β.  Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Human Group 1.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (96 Tests: PN: P100001, 32 Tests PN: P100001T) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage: 2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

Description:

Interleukin-1 beta (Accession P01584) is a member of Interleukin 1 subfamily, known for their association with acute and chronic inflammation. IL-1β secretion is different from most cytokines as it may be secreted through Golgi or ER independent processes. IL-1β acts as the key mediator in inflammatory responses and cellular activities such as proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis within the innate immune system. Overexpression of IL-1 has been associated with increased risk for Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, and other degenerative brain conditions.
